Group Tickets
What are Group Tickets?
A set of tickets designated to a named reserved tent. See https://madhatterderby.com for details on what is included with a Group Ticket.
Can anybody buy a Group Ticket in an existing reserved tent seating?
Only guests invited by the Group’s leader should buy tickets in an existing group.
I would like to sit with my friends in my own reserved tent.
The Hattby er will be pleased to help you to organize your group of at least six guests in a reserved tent.

What is a Croquet Concierge?
Group Tickets include a Croquet Concierge that helps organize and schedule how your how groups play in both Tournaments without scheduling conflicts.
Mobile Pay Pass
Mobile Pay Pass accepts cashless payments on-site at the Mad Hatter Derby to purchase things like merchandise, additional food and drinks, as well as Costume Contest Voting Pins and other items. Say goodbye to scanning your credit card, bringing cash or writing checks. Your purchases will be automatically added to the credit card you bought your ticket with.
When a ticket buyer completes a ticket purchase, an Activate Mobile Pay Pass button will appear on the the confirmation page and confirmation email. To opt-in, the ticket buyer clicks the Activate Mobile Pay Pass button, enters a 4 digit pin and clicks Activate. The system will send a confirmation email with the 4-digit pin.
For example: to purchase a drink at the Bar you will show the QR code on your ticket to the cashier for them to scan and enter your pin.
Thunderdome Tournament
New this year: a round-robin croquet-based challenge designed by our Croquet team—exclusively for VIPs!
- The winning team earns a year of bragging rights and their name on a new Perpetual Trophy, handcrafted by “Chief” Josh Haazard (creator of the Mad Hatter’s mallet).
- The trophy will be displayed year-round at participating sponsor locations.
- Defend your title in 2026!
Each VIP group seeds one team of 3 players into the Thunderdome. Substitutions can be made with any group member—even if they're also playing in the regular tournament.
Imagine your VIP group winning both tournaments!
